    About us

Our mission is to deliver joy in every shop, through unbeatable choice, unrivalled service, and reassuringly good value. We’re also on a mission to empower our business with smart technology; we’ve recently launched our AI Academy, providing a tailored AI learning journey for every colleague.

We’re Ocado Retail, a market-leading joint venture between Ocado Group and M&S, and the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket, ocado.com. Not only is Ocado the only place to shop a full range of M&S food online, it’s also the home to the widest online supermarket range in the UK and champion of small, independent brands. We’re also the brains behind Zoom by Ocado, our same-day grocery delivery service.

About the team and the role

Ocado Ads is undergoing an exciting transformation as we launch our new UK retail media network. The role of Retail Media Account Manager will be pivotal in driving incremental revenue growth by managing, developing, and retaining our mid-tier and high-potential growth accounts across Baby, Pet and Household verticals. You will be an expert media planner and cross-functional leader, responsible for end-to-end campaign ownership – from strategic planning across Ocado’s core assets (Onsite, Offsite, and Beet) to flawless execution, project management of 3rd party solutions, and in-depth post-campaign analysis. This role requires a blend of commercial acumen, hands-on media and data expertise, and excellent stakeholder management across the client, agency, and Ocado Retail buying teams.

    What you’ll do

Commercial Planning, Client Ownership & Incremental Revenue Driving

    • Drive and generate advertising revenue through a consultative sales approach, through strategic delivery of media and data within commercial terms and unlocking incremental revenue streams.

    • Pitch and generate revenue of the Beet Insights platform, through consultative selling.

    • Business partner with commercial teams to ensure supplier media plans are delivering defined commercial outcomes and strong campaign performance.

    • Hold accountability and management of the retail media investment and revenue targets for the supplier portfolio under your remit.

    • Advise and guide suppliers to create strong media plans that help deliver against brand, Ocado, and Customer objectives, across the Ocado Ads portfolio.

    • Be able to pitch compelling, customer-first media plans that are linked to the suppliers’ strategic goals, across the full Ocado Ads portfolio, on and offsite.

    Strategic Stakeholder Management & Planning

    • Act as the primary commercial and strategic point of contact for all media activities for your book of business.

    • Master the complex stakeholder matrix:

      • Collaborate closely with the Supplier/Client Marketing teams to understand their annual strategy, brand objectives, and media KPIs.

      • Work effectively with Media Agencies to ensure joint strategic alignment, timely execution, and optimal campaign performance.

      • Engage regularly with the Ocado Retail Buying teams (Buyers) to align media strategies with overall category goals and promotional calendars.

    • Lead the media planning process, specializing in strategic allocation across Ocado’s Onsite Media (e.g., featured products, display), Offsite Media, and Beet (measurement).

Campaign Execution & 3rd Party Solutions

    • Proactively sell and champion the value proposition of Ocado’s full-funnel media solutions.

    • Oversee the planning, project management, and reporting for 3rd Party Media Solutions (e.g., data-led partnerships with platforms like Meta/Facebook, and other media/data collaborations).

    • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams (Ad Tech Lead, Ad Operations) and external partners to ensure seamless execution.

    • Deliver accurate and insightful reporting, translating complex data into actionable client and agency recommendations.

    Insight & Category Ownership

    • Become the expert on category trends for your assigned verticals, providing deep market insights to both clients and internal sales teams.

    • Utilize Ocado data and industry research to provide strategic consultancy and thought leadership.

    Who you are

    • Proven experience in a media planning, client services, or sales role, ideally within retail media, programmatic, or digital advertising.

    • Demonstrable track record of managing and growing client accounts and achieving incremental revenue targets.

    • Expertise in managing complex stakeholder relationships across CPG/FMCG clients, media agencies, and internal retail/buying teams.

    • Strong understanding of the media landscape, including expertise in Onsite Media (e.g., e-commerce search/display) and Offsite Media (e.g., social, programmatic display).

    • Experience in the project management and implementation of 3rd party data/media partnerships.

    • Excellent proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives.

  • Senior Conceptual Designer

    Contract type: Permanent

Location: Hatfield (Hybrid working – 3 days in the office)

Working hours per week: 40 hours

    Level: Manager

We are looking for a Senior Conceptual Designer to join our EAT Creative team here at Ocado Retail. Over the last six months we’ve built a new visual world for our brand and now we need you to help us use it to win over new customers in a crowded market. You must be a clear communicator, a sharp strategic thinker and foster our team spirit for unconditional collaboration. You will work closely with our strategy, operations and our writers to ensure every idea is both daring and unmistakably Ocado. Your job is to create bold, brand aligned ideas that people cannot ignore.

    What you’ll do

    • Partner with writers, designers and art directors to develop concepts that connect with our audience.

    • Set the standard for creative excellence and how that applies to our design system across all platforms – from social media to print. We need someone that’s curious about how things work so they understand how they can impact the customer experience of the brand.

    • Push the team to stay curious and aware of new visual styles and trends.

    • Execute high level craft for campaigns.

    • Effortlessly ideate across multiple channels and formats – you’re comfortable designing a brand book as well as an AV title treatment.

    • Mentor junior team members.

    • Bridge the gap between big picture strategy and the fine details of asset delivery.

    • Challenge the Head of Creative with on brand ideas that make her nervous.

    Who you are

    • You don’t worry about hiding your screen. Working with an art director and copy writer to concept live, you’re happy to build the first draft together and you’re not precious over the details until they matter.

    • You blend natural good taste with an understanding of tailoring visuals to flexing audiences. Trends are balanced with the ability to speak the specific visual language of an Ocado customer.

    • You know how to follow brand guidelines and when to break them.

    • You’re not only obsessed with graphic elements, but also how they interact with imagery. How the words and their meaning are enhanced by placement and hierarchy. More than designing functionally, you can create messaging that works holistically.

    • Design is the language you speak, but your conversations are about the concept, strategy, the meaning and the audience.

    • You see parameters like a brief or set of guidelines as a place to start, not a directive. You’re curious to find the best solution, even if it’s not the one you’ve been asked for.

    • You’re equal parts brave and unbothered.

    • You value play and exploration just as much as making a finished product. You can articulate the why to people who don’t naturally get it.

    What’s in it for you

By joining Ocado Retail, you’ll have the chance to experience life at the world’s largest online retailer, work with an amazing bunch of people who challenge what’s possible each day, and grow your skills and career in online retail. You’ll also be part of our AI Academy, a dedicated learning journey designed to empower every colleague with the smart technology skills of the future.

If that’s not enough to tempt you, you’ll also get access to loads of great benefits to sweeten the deal. Here’s a taste of what we offer:

Health & Wellbeing: Private medical insurance with option to add your family, Digital GP appointments, market-leading family policies, mental health support, discounted gym memberships, dental insurance, and more.

Spend & Save: Annual bonus scheme split between personal and business objectives, recognition with reward platform, up to 7% matched pension contributions, 15% Ocado discount, 20% M&S discount, free breakfast every day in the office, electric vehicle leasing scheme, and free shuttle bus from Hatfield station to the office.

Never miss the moments that matter: Hybrid working, 26 days holiday plus 8 flexible bank holidays, options to buy extra holiday, 2 weeks work from anywhere, and lifestyle break opportunities.

    Our Hiring Process

Lucky for us, we receive a high volume of applications and genuinely appreciate the time and effort invested by every candidate. To ensure a fair and thorough process, every application is reviewed by a member of our team. If your skills and experience are a strong match, a Talent Partner will contact you to discuss the role and guide you through the next steps of our hiring process.
