The Aim for Our Graduate Talent
We’re all for developing top talent at Ocado Retail, and our Graduates are a huge part of that. So, our goal for any colleague on a Graduate Scheme is for them to be our retail leaders of the future!
To do that, we have an engaged support network for our Graduates, who work together to drive our culture and build cross-functional networks and skills through our schemes that benefit both the individuals and the teams they work with.
Starting with a bespoke Induction to Ocado Retail and your team, you’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility early on. We believe the best way to learn is by doing, though we’ll be here to support you the whole way.
The streams come together for induction into the whole business at the start of the scheme, as well as regular learning and development sessions (and of course the odd social event!).

Application Process
Step 1: Online Application
We want to make sure you find the path that’s right for you, so take your time exploring our opportunities before deciding where to apply (please note you can only apply to one programme per intake).
We’re keeping things straightforward—focusing on your potential, passion, and future, not what fits on a traditional CV. You won’t need to upload a CV or cover letter to apply; our goal is to make the process as seamless, fair, and accessible as possible.
On the application form, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments, and we’ll work with you to make sure the right support is smoothly put in place throughout.
Step 2: Cognitive Assessments
Show us how you think! You’ll complete multiple tests taking a maximum of 30 minutes in total on your phone, tablet, or laptop. These assessments help us understand your cognitive skills in more depth.
Step 3: Video Interview
This is your chance to shine and show us who you are! To help you feel prepared and give your best response, we’ll share the questions with you in advance. You’ll record short answers focused on your motivations and our key values.
We know speaking to a screen can feel a little unusual, but rest assured that real humans, not AI, will be reviewing your responses and listening to your experience.
Step 4: In person Assessment Centre
The final stage is an in-person Assessment Centre at our Head Office in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. We know assessment days can feel daunting, and we totally get that everyone has different strengths!
Some people thrive in group discussions, while others shine in individual tasks or one-to-one conversations. That’s why the day is designed to give us a complete, 360-degree view of you across a variety of exercises based on real Ocado challenges. Above all, it’s a warm, two way experience where you can get a real feel for our culture, meet the team, and decide if we’re the right fit for you too.
Prior to attending, we’ll provide you with plenty of support, guidance, and resources so you feel fully prepared and set up for the day. If you need any reasonable adjustments or specific arrangements for the Assessment Centre, just let us know—we’ll work with you to ensure you have the right support in place to perform at your best.
