    About the team and the role

    We're looking for an exceptional Buyer to manage part of the Fresh Produce category. In this role, you will hold commercial accountability for your category, managing a complex global supply chain to deliver a market-leading range. You will help drive our sourcing strategy, cultivating resilient supplier relationships and utilising data to make fast, agile trading decisions that keep Ocado at the forefront of the market.

    What you’ll do

    Commercial  Accountability

    • Be fully accountable for category P&L and deliver against all KPIs
    • Negotiate and execute complex, high-value Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with growers and importers that drive mutual growth and innovation
    • Utilise live data to make fast, commercially sound trading decisions, reacting quickly to market dynamics, weather events, and availability challenges
    • Partner closely with the M&S sourcing team to drive joint initiatives
    • Ensure zero GSCOP breaches. Always follow the Business Code of Conduct and act with integrity and due diligence

    Strategy, Range & Innovation

    • Expertly execute category reviews to refine the range, ensuring we are first-to-market with seasonal highlights and Ocado exclusives
    • Work closely with the Category Trade Planner to ensure best-in-class execution across all channels 
    • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Technical teams to mitigate risks, ensuring best-in-class availability and product quality that meets Ocado’s standards

     Negotiation & Supplier Excellence

    • Have complex negotiations to agree upon and deliver market-leading Joint Business Plans that align with the customer plan and category strategy
    • Manage and review the performance of a complex supplier base, communicating and developing strong relationships to drive high engagement
    • Identify and create plans to mitigate potential issues/events that may impact the supply, and ensure product quality meets all Ocado requirements
    • Include any line management responsibility

    Working closely with the wider CRM team and reporting to the Senior Customer Lead, the Senior CRM Executive is responsible for both the day-to-day execution and the long-term strategic direction of our lifecycle marketing. Your mission is to drive growth, retention, and frequency across all customer life stages through our BAU communications.

    As part of a lean, "start-up" style team, you will thrive on autonomy and self-management. You will be expected to translate customer needs into persuasive creative communications, leveraging data to ensure every message hits the mark. A key focus of this role is maximizing the capabilities of our new marketing technology stack to create operational efficiencies while delivering measurable commercial growth.

    What you’ll do

    • End-to-End Campaign Management: Drive CRM commercial performance by overseeing key topline metrics and owning the development, production, and deployment of multi-channel campaigns across Email, Push, SMS, and Direct Mail.
    • Performance Reporting & Insight: Take full accountability for reporting across all segments and campaigns. You will translate raw data into actionable insights, presenting "the why" behind the numbers to the wider business.
    • A/B Testing: Design and implement a rigorous A/B testing roadmap to improve and optimise open rates, CTRs, and conversion metrics across the entire funnel.
    • Platform Orchestration: Act as a "Super User" of our marketing tools (Braze, Movable Ink). You will partner with vendors to ensure we are utilising the latest features, with a focus on personalisation, real-time data triggers and operational efficiencies.

    • Assess impact on operational model and increment model to satisfy new requirements
    • Discovery and driving of stakeholder alignment via facilitation of workshops with SMEs & business owners to understand, challenge & capture requirements whilst clarifying and removing ambiguity
    • Proactively model, document, and manage the end to end linked value chain for the eCommerce grocery business, ensuring the articulation of measurable milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Ensure requirements are translated into well articulated definitions that align to expected outcomes and map to actionable plans

     

    Who you are

    • Significant experience in digital product delivery within the grocery eCommerce industry
    • Experience of event driven integrations, API development and data mapping
    • Proven expertise in value chain analysis, value stream mapping, and the development of measurable KPIs and milestones for large scale eCommerce or retail operations
    • Proven track record of translating strategic initiative outlines into detailed requirements with significant experience of developing target operational models

    The Network Development team is responsible for defining the long-term physical network strategy and ensuring we have the right capacity to meet the business’ aggressive growth plans. This is a high-impact, fast-paced position focused on turning strategic objectives into tangible, cross-functional projects.

     

    We are looking for a highly capable project lead and analytical doer to take ownership of key capacity and infrastructure initiatives. You will lead investigative work, synthesise complex information from across the business (Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Technology), and drive the necessary decisions and execution. If you have a strong background in supply chain, logistics, or operational development and thrive on solving large, unstructured problems, this is the role for you.

     

    What you’ll do

    1. Project Ownership & Delivery

    • Lead Investigative Work: Act as the primary owner for strategic initiatives, conducting analysis, interviewing key stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, and Tech, and synthesising information to formulate clear, evidence-based recommendations.
    • End-to-End Project Management: Take full ownership of key projects from initial scope definition and stakeholder alignment through to final sign-off and mobilisation. This includes setting timelines, managing risks, and ensuring project momentum.
    • Solution Design & Implementation: Bring structure to ambiguous problems. Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable steps and functional requirements, providing the necessary detail for operational teams to implement.

    2. Strategy, Analysis & Process Formalisation

    A. Network Planning Process & Ways of Working

    • Process Formalisation & Ownership: Work closely with the Network Planning team to formalise and implement a reliable, repeatable cycle for refreshing the 10-year network strategy. This includes defining the roles, setting clear deliverables, and establishing the annual planning calendar.
    • Workflow Shift: Help shift the team's capacity work from reactive requests to a predictable, scheduled workflow, ensuring all stakeholders understand their responsibilities within the capacity planning cycle.
    • Stakeholder Coordination: Optimise cross-functional engagement by creating clear meeting cadences and defining joint Operational KPIs to ensure strategic alignment and data visibility, particularly between Network Development and Logistics teams.

    B. Analytical Support & Strategic Packaging

    • Strategic Analysis Support: Provide direct analytical support to the team by investigating strategic options, analysing data gaps, and developing supporting models that inform the core assumptions of the 10-year plan.
    • Proposal & Presentation Development: Take the lead on compiling, structuring, and packaging the network plan and key capacity proposals into clear, compelling presentations. This includes translating complex analysis into high-level proposals suitable for senior management review and sign-off.
    • Sign-Off Management: Coordinate the internal review process to secure formal approval for the network plan and other major capital investments, managing feedback and iteration cycles.

     

    Who you are

    • Investigative & Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to quickly digest complex data, understand technical constraints, and extract necessary information from diverse stakeholders.
    • Supply Chain / Logistics Experience: Proven background in Supply Chain, Operational Development, Programme Management, or Consultancy, with exposure to complex networks, warehousing, or fulfilment.
    • Project Leadership: Demonstrable ability to take full ownership of projects, driving them from an ambiguous concept to a defined, executable solution, often without direct line management authority.
    • Bias for Action: A self-starter who excels at doing the work—from building financial models and drafting proposals to chasing key stakeholders and escalating blockers.
    • (Desirable) Familiarity with network modelling, long-range capacity planning, and/or capital expenditure (CAPEX) approval processes.
    • (Desirable) Experience working with or influencing internal Technology/Engineering teams.

    About the team and the role

    This role will be joining the Operations, Supply Chain and Stock Finance team, we look after all things operational, from stock inbounding through to the management of our fulfilment and last mile spend and performance. 

    The Finance Operations team are key business partners to the internal Operations team and work closely with our partners at Ocado Logistics; we strive to provide best in class insight & analysis into operational spend & investments to help drive improved profitability. With exposure to senior stakeholders and management of more than £900m worth of operational costs it’s an exciting role which has a real impact on the business.

    Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, the role is pivotal in challenging and analysing operational costs and fees, involvement in project work, as well as providing insight for monthly packs, forecasting and budgeting processes.

    What you’ll do

    • Business partner the internal Operations team, and both Ocado Logistics and Ocado Solutions, tracking and challenging all Operational and Fee costs for the Ocado.com and Zoom businesses (>£900m annually)
    • Support the Finance Manager in monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
    • Provide monthly performance commentary and analysis for the quarterly Network Profitability sessions
    • Lead the End-to-End Van Strategy program and perform Post Implementation Reviews for Capital projects
    • Support cross functional projects to enhance profitability and customer proposition
    • Be the lead on weekly processes, liaising with and challenge external stakeholders to build a robust understanding of costs to support decision making
    • Support month end Management Account processes, including Actual to Budget reporting, reviewing balance sheets and providing analysis for Board packs
    • Continuous process improvement through ongoing project work

    Who you are

    • Qualified accountant with experience post qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
    • Strong academics with demonstrated numerical and analytical skills
    • Experience of business partnering with senior and/or external stakeholders
    • Strong communication, relationship building and influencing skills
    • Ability to articulate financial data in a clear and transparent way
    • Enhanced Excel skills preferred
    • Previous Retail or Operational experience advantageous, but not essential

    We're looking for a highly organised and results-driven Commercial Infrastructure Manager to play a vital role in driving the next stage of growth for our business. In this critical role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure we have the operational capacity needed to meet our business goals.
    You'll work closely with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage capacity forecasts, secure necessary resources, and monitor performance against our contractual agreements.

    What you’ll do

    Capacity Definitions

    • Capacity Forecasting: Take ownership of both short-term (3-month) and long-term capacity forecasts. You will be responsible for translating business needs into clear capacity requests for our vendors.
    • Supplier Capacity Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key suppliers to secure and confirm the capacity we need. Your top priority is to ensure we achieve our capacity targets.
    • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and report on capacity achievement against contractual agreements. You'll be responsible for identifying and addressing 

    Vendor Management

    • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with a diverse range of third-party vendors, including key partners like Ocado Group.
    • Performance and Productivity: Monitor the performance, productivity, and efficiency of vendor-provided equipment (MHE) and technologies. This includes evaluating the achievement of business case goals for new technology deployed in our warehouses.
    • Contract Management: Ensure agreements are in place to secure the capacity guarantees we need. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of other critical contracts, including build contracts, infrastructure providers, landlords, billing authorities, and van finance contracts.
    • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve performance issues with vendors to ensure they consistently meet and exceed their contractual obligations.

     

    Who you are

    • Proven experience in procurement and performance of vendors
    • Strong understanding of capacity planning and forecasting principles
    • Ability to analyse performance data and identify trends
    • Ability to take that data and embed a commercial strategy
    • Experience in contract negotiations, SLA setting and tracking
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strong relationship management skills
    • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
    • MCIPS or CIPS qualification

    Who you are

    • Experience of managing and developing a diverse team of managers, analysts and graduates 
    • Demonstration of team leadership and vision, beyond day-to-day tactical/BAU 
    • Managing individual and team priorities in a fast paced environment

    • Be able to communicate data and insight clearly and concisely to various functions and seniority levels across both the supplier and internal teams.

    Relationship Management

    • Proactively build and maintain strong trusting relationships with key contacts across supplier partners and critical internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure that media plans link clearly to supplier objectives (e.g., NPD launches, volume drive) while enhancing the overall customer shopping experience.

    Who you are

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • At least 2 years of experience trading online media, managing digital marketing campaigns, or in a commercial account management role.
    • Direct experience working with retail media plans, FMCG brand partners, and/or media agencies.
    • Strong analytical capability and commercial acumen, comfortable with sales and negotiation.
    • A strong passion for the retail media industry and a desire to be part of a major transformation roadmap.
    • Proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

    Personal Attributes

    • A credible and authoritative individual who can project trust to stakeholders at different organisational levels.
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity, embrace complexity, and upskill quickly on new business models, ad products and Beet dashboards.
    • Calm under pressure, resilient, detail-oriented, and pragmatic in approach.
    • Highly self-aware, with excellent time management and an ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines.
